EmpoweredTM is a multi-layered interactive experience designed to elevate the energy IQ of the campus community and inspire individuals to participate in a culture of conservation.
EmpoweredTM was developed by the UK Office of Sustainability in partnership with Ameresco, Yonder Interactive Neighborhoods, and with help from many campus and community stakeholders.
EmpoweredTM is available online at empowered.uky.edu and around campus on the empowered interactive kiosks. Empowered (TM) provides real-time energy usage info from across the campus, an archive with data on historical energy usage, and comparisions that put that numbers into perspective.
EmpoweredTM is much more than a real-time energy dashboard. It is also a robust learning resource packed with conservation tips, interactive experiences that illustrate the profound impacts of our daily decisions, videos, and a glossary of sustainability and energy terms.
